Basic Life Support is CPR for healthcare professionals including emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, CNA’s and nurses. Teaches one-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR for adults, children and infants, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and response to foreign body obstructed airway (FBOA).
Build knowledge through viewing narrated slides and video content, then meet with an instructor to practice and test your BLS skills. Includes non-invasive airway adjuncts, use of bag valve mask and suctioning skills in addition to CPR and AED use. Covers 2010 ECC guidelines. This is an ASHI Basic Life Support Class.
Online time: Approximately 3 hours
Face-to-face time: 1 hour
Cost: $50 (includes both online class and face-to-face skills session)
Face-to-face class led by an instructor. These are AHA Basic Life Support Classes.
